Jan 30 – Feb 3, 2026We drew poses this time. Emma enthusiastically tried different poses and movements at the first class.
For the second class, we planned to add scenery to the drawing. However, Emma took it in a different direction, adding more characters and designing outfits for them. I enjoyed seeing her creative fashion choices and I love those characters she made very much!
To conclude, she learned the basics of drawing human figures and had an inspiring session of designing outfits. -

Emma drew Paul Klee’s painting!She observed and analyzed his artworks very well! Then, applied the techniques into her own piece. The final result is a painting that both reflects Paul Klee’s style and still feels like Emma’s.
What a strong observation and learning skill she has! -

Emma used acrylic on canvas!She took inspiration from a ceramic rooster vase and turned it into a colorful composition. Her sense of color is truly impressive, regardless of the medium she uses! This piece’s composition is also on point!
The artwork includes too many small details – this is both Emma’s strength and weakness. Still, great job! -

This time, we explored a completely new exercise: clay painting!Although the process took a bit more time, the result was absolutely worth it. Each element in Emma’s artwork has a suitable thickness, creating a strong sense of dimension. The animals and the little girl placed at the center of the composition are especially charming.
Beyond the main artwork, Emma also created many additional small animal figures. As always, everything she created, carries its own story. Overall, this was an impressive and ambitious piece, both in scale and quality!

First class of the new year! We had an apple-drawing exercise using three different color harmony palettes.Emma understood the lesson, followed the color guidance beautifully, then explored different ways of creating texture with her brush to create natural apple-like surfaces. Impressive!
Her brush control was confident, and the textures she developed added depth and realism to the forms. The last two apples could be more neat but nonetheless this was a great drawing for the beginning of the year!
