She has been very diligent in her practice, and some of her approaches have achieved good quality. However, I think a change in method is needed to improve effectiveness. -

Continuing with warm tones, her sense of color seems to have improved; however, I need her to increase her speed so she can produce more variations within a single session. -

Building on the previous value study, today she tried adding cool tones. The results look promising. -

We went back to working in monotone for a bit so she could better control her values. I quite like these pieces. -

We returned to the old question: which colors should be chosen for the painting. With so many possible colors, we need a reason to feel confident in our decisions. Today’s color study was not very successful. In the next session, we will look for another method to help support her sense of color.
