Come back from long vacation , Kathy start with very difficult head sculpture
The proportion still not good, but she captured the spirit of head. Good job -

It was her first time trying oil painting. It was only the second day, but I think she already figured out how the oil medium works. Her brush strokes were quite free and varied, though she had some trouble selecting colors. -

It seems that Kathy has become familiar with using charcoal; she can now easily capture and construct the shapes of still life objects. Now it’s time for her to learn how to control the values of the objects in order to create a sense of depth and space. -

Kathy’s charcoal drawings are getting better and better. In this piece, the composition is excellent, and the rendering of fabric texture is nearly perfect. Perhaps she should continue with her quick-sketching approach — being less hesitant and overly careful seems to be producing even better results. -

A nearly perfect still life drawing in charcoal by Kathy. She’s regaining her form, showing strong control over the medium.
In upcoming sessions, she should try to feel more relaxed when drawing leaves and similar objects.
