Meet Sayang — our student from Indonesia
Sayang came to Vietnam to study both art and Angklung, a traditional Indonesian musical instrument.
From her very first day at Art Tutor Hanoi, she has shown incredible patience and dedication — learning drawing step by step, from the most basic exercises.
She has a special love for black and white, so most of her works are done in charcoal. Through countless portrait and still-life studies, she has built a solid foundation and developed a calm, expressive style that truly reflects her personality.
After more than a year of consistent practice, it feels like she’s now ready to begin creating her own charcoal compositions — a new chapter in her artistic journey.

More textures today. Quite good, and can be better if she added more shadows and contrasting values.

step by step in controlling charcoal . It’s easier when she passed pencil basic course , then she can capture the figure easily
