Meet Sayang — our student from Indonesia
Sayang came to Vietnam to study both art and Angklung, a traditional Indonesian musical instrument.
From her very first day at Art Tutor Hanoi, she has shown incredible patience and dedication — learning drawing step by step, from the most basic exercises.
She has a special love for black and white, so most of her works are done in charcoal. Through countless portrait and still-life studies, she has built a solid foundation and developed a calm, expressive style that truly reflects her personality.
After more than a year of consistent practice, it feels like she’s now ready to begin creating her own charcoal compositions — a new chapter in her artistic journey.

Sayang started painting still life with glass material. It will take 2-3 sessions to master the technique of depicting this material. -
Sayang completes the still life painting with the technique of painting patterns on wooden statues and porcelain vases. The wood and porcelain materials are very well characterized with only the lines of patterns. -

New post, still life painting. Sayang starts very well with portrait sculpture, proportions and tones are harmonious.
