Continuing the charcoal drawing of the nutcracker, the notan is quite strong, but the wooden material isn’t clearly expressed yet. -

Continuing with charcoal practice, this time with more basic forms. The result is noticeably better—Joshua is improving very quickly. -

Started exercises on drawing basic forms using charcoal. Joshua picked it up quite quickly and has a good feel for the medium. -

Completed the fabric material study—very well done. Joshua has understood how to render fabric textures. From the next session, we will move on to charcoal.
